This website will tell you everything you need to know about the Greenwich Deaf Playscheme. We have all the future dates displayed as well as the history of GDPS. Click on the links page for links to deaf organisations and other relevant sites.
This website is split into two components i.e. The parents site and the kids korner. This section is for parents and professionals who wish to browse and perhaps help them make a decision whether to send a child to us for the school holidays.
We are open during every school holiday during the year except for the Christmas break. These are as follows – February half term, Easter, May half term, Summer and October half term. We also do one off events such as the annual Christmas party and Pantomime visit.
The age range for the children that attend the playscheme is from 8 to 11 (inclusive). We also have a Youth group which operates simultaneously for ages 12 – 15.
The playscheme is available for any deaf children to attend as long as they are in the right age range and live in the South East London catchment area.
This catchment area is the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark. We can also accept hearing children of deaf parents has long as they can sign British Sign Language.
