This website will tell you everything you need to know about the Greenwich Deaf Playscheme. We have all the future dates displayed as well as the history of GDPS. If you want to look at other websites then click on the links page.
This website is split into 2 parts. One part is for your parents and this part is for you. This is called the Kids Korner and is much more interesting than the parents’ one. Here you can read everything you want to know without any boring bits that your parents like!
We are open every school holiday but are not open at Christmas coz you will be at home with your presents. We are open on these holidays – February half term, Easter, May half term, Summer and October half term.
Sometimes we do organise things on other dates that are not in the school holidays. This can be on a Saturday or Sunday. We also do a Christmas party and see the Pantomime with sign language.
The playscheme is open to all deaf children who live in South East London. This playscheme is very good for children who sign and also we can let you see what sign language is like if you do not normally sign at home or school.
If you are hearing you can still come to the
Playscheme if you have a parent who is a British Sign
Language user. This is so you can practice your
signing with friends your own age and not just your
parents!
